One of the world's largest and most famous yachting races, the JPMorgan Asset Management Round the Island Race takes place in Cowes , Isle of Wight and attracts an annual entry of up to 1800 boats.

Organised by the Island Sailing Club, the event is one of the most popular fixtures on the Solent racing calendar with competitors coming from Europe and the USA , as well as all over the UK , to follow the 50 mile course round the Isle of Wight .

Starting on the famous Royal Yacht Squadron line in Cowes , the fleet races west, to The Needles, round St Catherine's Point and Bembridge Ledge buoy back into the Solent . Over 60 prizes are awarded for the event and every boat completing the race receives a memento of the occasion.

Our 3 day sail+social package
Our long weekend commences on Friday with some serious training onboard. You'll get to know your team and after the Skipper has put you through your paces, you'll work out each team member's strengths to create the most effective, competitive team for the race.

Saturday is race day – expect an early start, plenty of racing action and a unique camaraderie experience only yacht racing can offer. The race may be over, but the day certainly isn't - join us as we finish the day partying in style, toasting the day's success.

Sunday is a day of R&R (rest and relaxation) as you recover from the previous day's events, enjoy the continuing social scene in Cowes and then join us for a relaxed and most enjoyable sail back to Southampton .
